Founded in 2006 -- "I created Nardagani (sounds like origami) based on an innovative Japanese system, to help make reading English easier."
Illiteracy is a problem in our country; 44 million Americans cannot read. English is complicated. It has too many rules, and even more exceptions!
Nardagani is a new way to master English. You learn all the sounds of all the letters. When you know each letter of the alphabet well, you don’t need so many rules and exceptions. For example, learn that the 'S' makes 4 sounds and the ‘O’ makes 6. Join me in decoding the English language, one letter at a time.
Illiterate people surround us in abundance; however, many of us don't usually realize this because being a challenged reader is considered a bad stigma. Illiteracy is a huge secret in our country and many suffering from it will go great lengths to hide the fact that they can barely read. Even many who have strong math skills often suffer as challenged readers. To them, numbers make sense; but letters do not play fair. Did you know that with our 5 vowels we make 21 different sounds? Toss in silent letters and it’s no wonder people with super-strong left-side brains often become easily baffled by English.
Any of you booklovers can help a challenged reader with only about 30 minutes of your time. Watch my short narrative, The Hero's Story. It features a local young man, Joseph Zeman who became the first Nardagani 'Hero.'
